24th JANUARY 2008

Faye: Great news! The awesome video for Faye has been playlisted by Topman/Topshop across all stores in the UK and Ireland. This builds on the current playlistings on Fizz, Bubble Hits, and Tiscali. It's been a busy time here in the land of SJ. So far January has seen the boyzees locked up in the studio finishing the final few songs for the album. With the album recorded the boys will head to London once again to finish mixing at the Strongroom in Feb. The lads have also been selected from 450+ bands to play Murphy's Live 2008 - the only band to feature 2 years running. Top 4 in 2007 was good, but let's hope this year will see one or two places better! See the guys in action in Whelan's on the 31st Jan with Future Kings of Spain. Should be a cracker! Although unfortunately no tickets remain. March 27th will see a performance at the BT2 Spring Fashion Show in the POD complex Dublin. The lads were selected to play via a public vote on uber-cool radio station Phantom FM. More news soon!

Good news everybody! The final details of the 'Faye' release are almost sorted and the song will be out in October. The track will be chart eligible in the UK and Ireland, and also be available for those of you in other places - Europe, USA, Australia etc. More news on this very very shortly!

We're pleased to report 'Helicopters' has been A-Listed on Phantom FM Ireland. The track was the most played Irish song last week and third overall. Woohoo! Not bad considering the song was released well over a year ago! To request the track txt 083 311 1052 or email the studio live@phantom.ie

The lads will be heading back into the studio in September to finish work on their as yet untitled debut album. It will be stellar...the end.

20th JULY 2007

Big thanks to those who came to see the lads at their recent successful shows in Galway, Killarney, Kinsale, and Dublin. Special shout goes to the people of Swell in Kinsale! Last night's performance at the Sugar Club in Dublin was defo one to remember and thankfully it's been caught on film by the fine people involved with 'Live in Your Living Room'. Details on where and when it can be viewed will be posted soon. So all of you abroad - most notably in the UK and Australia - you'll finally have a chance to see the band in action. Tomorrow sees SuperJimenez travelling to Derry for the first time to perform at the Glasgowbury Festival along with such stellar acts as Duke Special and Oppenheimer. SuperJimenez will be playing on the 'Spurs of Rock' Stage 7:15-7:45. Details on the festival including tix information can be found at www.glasgowbury.ie

The release of 'FAYE' is drawing ever closer with work on the video continuing in earnest. More on that soon!

22nd MAY 2007

Three shows are set for June/July including the lads first gig in both Killarney, and Donegal. They return to Roisin Dubh on July 3rd. These will be the last gigs before SuperJimenez return to London to finish the recording of their debut album. So make it along if you can!

News on the Faye release - The Faye Myspace is taking on a life of it's own! The page has received over 11,000 hits in it's short life and we've received over 1000 submissions so far. It's set for a Septmeber release so the deadline for submissions will stay open a little while longer. To coincide with the release, SuperJimenez are calling all the Faye's across the wee world to help and be involved with the video and cover! * FAYE will appear on the new Murphy's Live Compilation CD free with the next issue of HotPress (Out March 22nd). The CD will feature the four bands through to the Semi-Final along with tracks from the likes of Duke Special, The Immediate and Delorentos.

26th FEBRUARY 2007

*The results are in: Superjimenez have been selected by the judges of the Murphy's Live competition to feature in this years Semi-Final along with The Chapters. The bands will play Whelans on the 22nd March. The Immediate will headline the night.

*Murphy's Live have picked Superjimenez to play at this years competition. Twelve bands were chosen from 350 entries. The band will play their heat on February 22nd at The Sugar Club with Lost. Wicklow band HyBrasil will headline the event.
